A visit to Edmonds homelands including the Emerald River

Here we are at another great spot on Groote Eylandt, a bridge over a section of the Emerald River.
It’s right by Edmonds homelands, he wanted to take us out there because he said the river here is good for some nice pictures.
So Edmond, Enosh and Lukane joined us in the Jobfind CDEP troopy again and headed out there to check it out..

Before that we decided to give his parents a quick visit just around the corner to say hello and let them know we were there. It was a nice little outstation about a 100 metres from the river.

Edmond then led us down to this amazing swimming pool with a rope swing and crystaline water…

There were a  couple banana trees growing there, no fruit yet though. The boys said they would come down as kids and eat bananas and swim, sounds pretty good really!

The river had some still murky sections in it…

There had also been some fires sweep through there a week or so prior, so there was some nice contrasts between new greenery and blackened tree trunks

Great spot guys, thanks again to Jobfind CDEP participants Edmond, Enosh and Lukane for showing us more beauty and a touch of nostalgia from their younger years!
